The lens also provides outstanding macro shots due to a 29cm minimum shooting distance (0.32x maximum magnification, 35mm equivalent) throughout the zoom range.

Excellent image with MEGA OIS

The DMC-L1 is equipped with the Panasonic's optical image stabilizer that vibrations from shaky hands is minimized. Thank youGyrosensors and LSI Venus Engine Plus built into the lens, the system detects camera movement at a rate of 4,000 times per second
OIS has two modes of correction. A constant and continuous fashion to compensate for the movement to ensure that the image on the LCD and the viewfinder is always clear. The power of LSI Venus Engine III

The Venus Engine III is a new image processing LSI, which maximizesthe implementation of the Live MOS sensor. With a high resolution, excellent color reproduction and detailed gradation, the Venus Engine III also reduces noise level expected from a digital SLR, thus achieving the image quality. The Venus Engine III also improves the responsiveness of shoot camera support high-performance consecutive and short shutter interval. The Venus Engine III only requires 80% more energy than its predecessor and with the Live MOS sensor with lowconsumption results in longer battery life.

Full-time Live View for a whole new style of Digital SLR

This useful feature can be selected in both AutoFocus modes and manual focus. In Manual Focus, photographers can enlarge an image in the frame, then select the target area, which facilitates the development is on the large 2.5-inch high-resolution, 207,000 pixel LCD. It is also possible to check the depth by pressing the release button.

Shake the dust with the system of supersonic wave filter

A major problem with digital SLRs with interchangeable lenses is the possibility of dust in thecamera during lens exchange and contamination of the image sensor.
